The Puerto Rican Marinel College was founded by Ms. Mejias Iris N. Diaz and Ms. Carmen Guemárez under the name of La Casita de Bambi. The first school year began with 23 students in grades Pre-K and Kindergarten. Since 1985 the College continued to expand its offerings by adding a new grade each school year to complete the Elementary Level in 1990. In May 1991 we celebrated with great pride and satisfaction our First Grade Sixth Grade 17 students. Already since 1984 our school adopted the method Cueto, method created by Puerto Rican distinguished Esq. Joseph M. Cueto (RIP). The method Cueto gave us the tools to develop our children, making them wiser and leading them to discover and express its grandeur. In the 1991-92 school year and as part of our growth process, the institution began to use its new name: Puerto Marinel, a name that represents a combination of the names of family members Mejias College. During all these years our school has grown thanks to that we had two very important factors: the blessing of Almighty God and the help and enthusiasm of parents who have always said this.
