Tavola Condado Trattoria Local

Tavola means” table " in Italian. This is the peculiar name of the local Tavola Trattoria restaurant, located on Ashford Avenue, which has become one of the most popular spots in the tourist area of the county.
The vibrant atmosphere and attentions merge with the delicious proposal of chef Francisco Maldonado, better known as Remy, with 18 years of experience in the culinary industry.
Although his specialty is Italian cuisine, certainly, the Cook surprises the diners with his creations and masterful fusion of ingredients in the making of pasta, rice, meat and fresh fish.
“Everything we do from scratch, from the pasta, the sauce, the bases, until the breads, and we use the freshest ingredients. My style described it as a Puerto Rican Italian fusion with an Asian touch,” Maldonado said.
The house specialties are the meatballs, the roast chicken, the ribeye with truffled butter, the mac and cheese with truffles, the involtini stuffed with eggplant, sauteed mushrooms, the risotto of wild mushrooms or the ink of squids, and the carpaccio di manzo, or the tuna carpaccio.
Another of the most acclaimed dishes are the sliders with gorgonzola cheese and pears, among many more.
On the other hand, in this new space they incorporated the mofongo, made with pork belly, and the tostones, “because tourists come looking for dishes from Puerto Rican cuisine, and have had good acceptance.”
In addition, they make available to the diners exquisite personal artisanal pizzas with different ingredients, such as pork belly with yellows and Creole mojo; and the peverisa with prosciutto, arugula, tomato and truffle oil, to mention a few.
The trattoria, which has its own cava (with labels from Spain, Italy, Argentina and California), a comfortable bar and outdoor terrace, will soon also open the Vendetta speakeasy bar.
To finish the tasty day, we suggest the memorable chocolate biscuit or the casserole of caramelized pears with ice cream and almonds.
