We deal with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the tissues that support the teeth as gum, alveolar bone, cementum and periodontal ligament and implants. Periodontal disease is caused mostly by bacteria in the oral cavity. These form a sticky, invisible layer called "bacterial plaque", which is attacking the oral tissues, causing inflammation or "Gingivitis" and eventual loss of bone supporting the teeth. In this more advanced condition known as "Periodontitis". Many people know it as "Pyorrea".
