Admitted to practice law in the State of New York since 2000. Admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico since 2004. Acevedo is a litigator with experience in federal and state, which advises practice and represents employees in a wide range of issues of labor law arising under state and federal laws, with emphasis on cases discriminate in employment (age, race, color, sex, pregnancy, national and social origin, disability, political and religious affiliations, sexual harassment, retaliation and others). The licensed Acevedo worked as legal advisor to the Civil Rights Task Force of the Department of Justice of Puerto Rico. The licensed Acevedo has actively participated in numerous cases before the courts of New York and Puerto Rico and has also successfully litigated claims in the areas of civil, contracts, accident and medical malpractice.
