On June 2008, Puerto Rico Coffee Roasters, LLC (PRCR) was created to position and develop the most productive and efficient manufacturing and distribution Coffee company in Puerto Rico. PRCR acquired that same year the leading brand Café Yaucono along with brands Café Rico, Café Rioja and Yaucono Selecto. Following a multi-million investment in their Ponce coffee processing plant, PRCR acquired Garrido & Co, in August 2010, and in October of the same year acquired the high-end specialty Brand Encantos de Puerto Rico. As a result of these acquisitions, Puerto Rico Coffee Roaster’s brands have a 75% share the PR market as well as the island’s largest Foodservice coffee division.
